Where am I in this scene, this moment? I find that choice informs all. It grounds me. My earliest acting memory was on Camelback Mountain, in Scottsdale, Arizona. My brother Michael and I were in front of the camera, and behind a Super 8 video cam? None other than a teenaged Steven Spielberg! We were walking to and from our childhood home as our young family friend directed us. A moment that has stuck with me...it's all about where you are, where you're going and what you expect to happen...then allowing moments of surprise!
